Hi Sam,

How do I get the EVO ALL to lock/arm my G37 after shutdown (timed out or turned off)?

Turn on the Lock after remote start feature in the EVO. Also, make sure to use the right Lock/arm wires/pins at the BCM.

Can the EVO all when set to remote start trigger the rear defrost?

There is no actuall output to control the rear defrost.

But..... (I cannot say to do or not to do this)... The (-)Parking Light output is a negative output while the car is started. It's intention is ideally to control lighting, but mayyyyyybe you can use it for other reasons. (EVO output rated at 250mA MAX)

  • (-)Rear Defrost wire
  • Green
  • At BCM Green Connector (PIN 40)
  • Normally a pulse is used to trigger rear defrost and NOT a constant signal
  • Test wire before use.

From the green and white wires, you should see somekind of signal. (not the purple and purple/white). If you have a logic test light, it may give you better readings. Sometimes a multimeter won't react fast enough

I am defenitlly connected to the right wires. What can cause the EVO not to output on those two wires?  I turned on the options mentioned and I will shutdown the RS and car unlocks and stays unlocked.

Can you post a picture of the BCM lock-unlock connections?

With the service number, i'll be able to see what options are on or off. Normally options 1-11 should be defeault ON. Option 12, 13 and 15 should of later been set to on.

Also, as tests:

  • You can jump the purple or purple/white to ground for 1 second. You should see the doors lock or unlock depending on which you test.
Ok I got it to lock now. Connection at the BCM was not good. I tested the wire out of the BCM with a 12v light and it was lighting so I figured the BCM connection was bad and redid it.  Works great now, thanks so much for the help.
Good to hear!
