2012 G37 starting after 2x lock

0 votes

Just had your unit installed on my Infiniti G37 and 3xlock on the factory remote works great. 2 days later the installer added a Compustar range extender and now car starts after 2xlock. According to the installer there was a recent Fortin firmware update...could this be causing the 2xstart? It is too easy to accidentally start your car this way. Is there any work around? Thanks!

There was an update fix for vehicles starting on pressing 1x Lock. This would happen only with firmware 72.16.

Two solutions are available.

  • There is a fix in beta which the firmware is 0.28
  • Or just downgrade the firmware to firmware 72.14

edit: 72.14 and 72.16... not 76.xx

Two of those firmware versions do not exist.  Perhaps the the 76's were typos.

Lock-Lock-Lock programing with remote pack causes 1x lock starts.

Lock-Unlock-Lock on current firmware is the solution.  You may want to update your documentation.

My fingers were too quick. Nissan/Infiniti firmwares are 72.XX and not 76.XX
