OBDII Port not connecting after install

0 votes
I have a working Fortin Evo-One installed on a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. The unit has worked flawlessly for over a week. Today I had a check engine light appear and I cannot connect to the ECU via my OBD tool. I tried the tool on a different vehicle and it works fine.

Does something need to be done in order for the OBD port to work correctly?

Thanks

check fuses:

27 - 15A (ecm fuse)

19 - 10A (obd and a bunch of other things fuse)

Alhtought the remote start is not connected on the CAN of the OBD, disconnect 5 pin white connector on EVO to see if that changes anything.

Thanks for your reply. I disconnected the white 5 pin connector and was able to connect to the ecu through the obd port. The code thrown was a network issue, loss of communication with the instrument cluster. Everything appeared to be fine on the evo-one, so we did some readings at the battery terminal and ended up just cleaning the terminals.

After reconnecting everything I was able to use the obd port with the evo-one still connected. Now we will see if it happens again.

Thanks again.
