Why does my 5amp inline fuse blow everytime I try to OEM start

+1 vote
I was able to program evo one then I flashed newest firmware to both bypass and remote starter side. I tried to remote start using oem 3x, it started then shut off 2 seconds later. Now everytime I try to start it, it wont start and blows the in line fuse on the red constant wire. It is a 5 amp fuse as directed by install manual.

The fuse, put a 15 Amp. Please confirm proper connections (from evo to car) though before doing so. Mainly the Accessory, ignition and starter wires. Also be sure that the unused white wire from the EVO 6-pin harness is properly isolated since there will be power on the tip of the wire when remote starting.

On the bypass options of your unit,

  • enable A7, A8, A9, A10, A11

Did you hook up pakring lights?

Also once the fuse issue gets solved your options inside the module are completly messed up and will need to be fixed.

Actually no, I skipped the parking lights..is this the culprit?
No just the most common issue I see is wrong connection to parking lights.
Also, i checked all my pins coming to evo one and they seem to be giving me a proper voltage. The only one that seems a little suspect is the yellow starter wire in the 6 pin power harness. The rest read around 12 volts and the small can wires either read around zero or 2 or 4 volts. When i start the car, yellow starter wire momentarily reads 6-8 volts then drops to almost zero after car is started.  Is this normal for 2015 Kia optima push to start?
Any starter wire in "most cases" will read 0V key off, 0V key on, 10-12 V when cranking (this being the "starter" signal), then once it has started goes back to zero.

Can wires should read around 2-2.5 V per wire with ignition on.

To asnwer your drone question below it is 0.50 in the remote starter flip the blue and white connect it to the small blue port on evo one and thats it....no programming required! :)

Does Accessory go to 0V when you start the car?

Also if possible can you list any and all the connections you made in the vehicle?
Well, I made the connections listed for the guide 28091 exactly, minus the parking wire. I just swapped out the 5a for a 15a as recommended by another team member and it started right up with 3x oem fob!!! Seems to be working great. Now ill flash to .50 and hook up drone and report back. Thanks!  Oh one more question, If i want my rear defrost to work with aux 1, which wire do I hook the yellow/black aux wire up to in my 2015 kia optima push to start? Thanks!

Rear Defrost (negative)

Black

Dash fuse box, Connector (D) will also control heated mirrors

Pin 12

Everything works great, just wish there was a way to use both drone and a fortin RF kit hooked up at the same time.  If there is any workaround, let me know, thanks guys!
If the headlights are left on during remote start, will this cause the 5amp fuse to blow?
