Where is the Parking Light connection in a 2009 Camry Hybrid

0 votes
I have installed an EVO-All on my 2009 Camry Hybrid.  It works great.  But during installation I never found the connection in the car to the Parking Light...

As this was an optional connection, I gave up and skipped it.  But I would love to have it working.   Can you, please, give me more specific hints about where to find that connection within my car's dashboard.

Thank you!

Parking light should be black wire at the parking light switch connector. It's a negative trigger.

Thanks for your help.   I cannot find the parking light switch connector in my car. So any tips on where to find it would be helpful.  Is it in the steering column?   Behind the driver's kick plate?   Reminder that I have a 2009 Camry Hybrid.  Thanks!
It would be where the light switch is. I think your light switch id the handle on the left of your steering column, so in that case the connector for the light switch will be somewhere around the steering column.
I'm also having the same issue... looked on both the front and the rear sides of the electrical center.  In the Fortin diagram, it shows it in a different 'neighborhood' than the regular load center.

I'll keep looking, John, and post back here if I find anything.  I, too, have an '09 Camry Hybrid.

As Robert noted, it's in the steering column.  Browsing ebay, I was able to find several examples of used switches with the harnesses still attached, and there's a black wire shown that's the one we're after.  Unfortunately, it means opening up the steering column, which I'm told requires removal of the airbag and steering wheel.

Here's the picture of the connector on the bottom of the switch.

you don't have to remove the airbag to access the connectors at the steering column. What you do have to remove is plastic pieces around the sterring column (right in back of the actual steering wheel). If you turn your steering wheel left / right, you will will see a hidden screw on both sides.
