3x remote flash won't start

0 votes
2004 Chevrolet Suburban 1500, I've been having issues for 3 months now. I replaced brake switch twice, wire harness for brake switch, and still the same issue. If I unplug the brake wire from EVO-ONE, it would remote start. If the wire is plugged in, no start. This started after 3 years of module use, nothing changed. Now, EVO-ONE is doing a 3X light blink when trying to remote start, which is ready mode disabled. It's an automatic transmission, it's in Park, no parking brake on, still nothing. Last week I was able to bypass the brake switch with a separate switch to solve the other remote start issue, but 2 days later it's doing the ready mode disabled. I'm about to give up,  rip this thing out and try a different brand.

I will also add, the EVO-ONE will not allow a master rest. I try the ignition on and press and hold button on antenna or valet and nothing ever happens. The flashlink is not protected.

Hello,

Just a thought, since you alrady know were the issue stems from (the brake switch) perhaps try putting a diode on the evo-one brake wire to prevent whatever feedback the unit is getting from the brake switch? The band of the diode would face the evo-one.

Best regards.

Ok, here is the latest. I have replaced my turn signal relay now and this has cleared up my lighting issues, however, now the Fortin is doing a single flash of lights and that's it. No start still.

I have also tried, several times, to factory/master reset it and it doesn't let me. In the flashlink I did a reset and it put everything to 1, then I did a vehicle specific configuration and saved it. Now it's out of ready mode disabled, but won't start. Also, the brake wire disconnected no longer matters
