What protocols to use for mobile usage?

0 votes
Hello, I just installed an Evo-One on my wifes 2019 Mazda Cx-3  Automatic w/ PTS.  I am using the LINKr LT2 mobile card thing.  I have the remote start funtioning properly off of the factory remote. While looking at the programming features I do have the RF Kit Setting set to use the EVO Start 2 mobile app controls. But while trying to get the mobile app controls to work some just give me battery voltage and GPS while others dont give me even that.   I wish there was a way to know what setting to use

most important is to have paired the LinkR to the EVO-ONE per the instructions.

First step is to make sure your LinkR app settings are set to Fortin.

The pairing of the LinkR (also called MyCar, Carlink, ASCL6) to EVO-ONE procedure can be found in here: (page 9 to 10 for all steps) https://fortin.ca/download/64631/ascl6-install-guide-64631.pdf

Note that the main programming (step 8) when it says to press to the push button 5 times, refers to the plug in VALET button and not the little bypass programming button on the evo-one

I have connected everything and can fully remote start and shut off my car using the factory remote and it stays running. Which is great even though I don't get any factory lights to stay on indicating its running ( which I leave on the headlight switch all the time anyway and let it time out after the vehicle is off, which is 30 second). So when it does start the headlights automatically turn on. Which is okay. When properly learning the telematics of the EVO one I never get / got the red LED light on the side of the EVO-ONE or the running lights to flash .I was able to hear the box clicking as i was hitting the plugged in valet button But I can now Lock & unlock the car through the phone. It still dont say the door status but the car honks as if it's locked and it does do it. When sending the Start command thru the app it starts and runs for a few seconds then shuts off. It's weird. Any possible help on this new procedure? Main Wiring harness THAR-MA30 Rev 1 Lot 51400 & LinkR LT2 wiring in harness HRN-LLRS-01 Which are the wiring harnesses being used. After it shuts down it clicks 3 times I'm assuming to indicate the error code which is time expired or shut down by transmitter but will run the 15 minutes when it's running off of the remote

Both these indicate that the linkr is not managing 2way correctly.

  • No lock-unlock confirmations.
  • Car dying when using app (linkr had no idea car was actually running)

There is no direct solution but here are some things to look at.

1- Call LinkR to see if there are any OTA updates for your device.

2- Make sure that the linkR is in the BLUE port of the EVO-ONE and not the black one

3- The LinkR app should have Fortin set as a remote starter

I just checked and it is in the proper blue port. I have emailed LinkR and am hoping for a reply. Thank you.  Is there any settings to your knowledge that manages 2 way communications?
