Windows computer not recognizing Flash Link Module

After opening the software and loging in, when I plug the Flash Link Module into my computer, the computer is not recognizing the Flash Link Module.

I have tried with three different computers and I am having no luck.

Of the computers I tried, one is running Windows 11 and two are running Windows 10.

The Windows 11 computer simply does nothing, it doesn't move from the screen saying the PC is unable to detect the Flash Link Updater.  On the Windows 10 computers, I get this error message:

If you can't see the screen shot of the error message, it says:  "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it.  Try reconnecting the device.  If Windows still does not recognize it, your device may not be working properly."

The Service Number on the back of the Flash Link Module is:

002505 087260

Please advise.

This would be better solved if you could call into support. 1-877-336-7797

have fortin.screenconnect.com ready. 

 

Basically, what we would need to try is

  1. go into the Device Manager
  2. under LibUSD-Win32 devices , right on FES FlashLink Deivce and delete it
  3. disconnect the flash link module
  4. delete the flash link manager software completely (Settings -> Apps -> Flash Link Manager 4)
  5. download, do not run, the flash link software.exe from the website ( https://fortin.ca/en/support/flashlinkmanager.html )
  6. once downloaded, then Run the .exe installer
  7. once installed, plug in only the Flash Link Updater

 

Open the software and see if it's detected.

I will try to call later on today when I am available and have what I need.
I am on hold with technical support and it is taking a long time.  I cannot stay on the phone any longer.

I tried the steps you laid out and it still did not work.  I got the same error message.  Please advise.

I was able to talk to tehnical support.  

I followed these instructions and still got the same message.

Technical support advised that I go through the retailer for a replacement/return.
That is crazy because I have a brand new Samsung galaxy 5g book go laptop and ots doing the same thing to me. And as we all see everyone is having the same issues. Can you please let me know if it worked when you received a new one
