Rf problem with programming

0 votes
Evo one RF442W remotes. The 3x lock starts the vehicle but when trying to program the rf remotes the led on the antenna never flashes. Red led on the evo one lights up everytime i click the valet and also when pressing the brake. Ignition on, hold valet and wait for flash, press valet 5 times, press brakes.. then nothing from antenna. Are my settings wrong? Led on antenna flashes once when plugging in only

A few questions:

- Your antenna should be plugged in to the smaller blue port (Port B) for DATA-LINK ANTENNA - It should be the only socket that fits the blue RF kit cable connector.

- Did you program your EVO-ALL to use the Fortin 2 protocol for your RF-KIT?

- Does the vehicle shut down when you press the brake pedal after remote start? (Just to make sure the EVO-ALL is detecting your brake signal.)  Without a working brake signal, you will not be able to enter the pairing function.

- If you are able to get into programming mode, have a good brake signal and your EVO-ALL programmed to use the Fortin 2 protocol for the RF kit - You should be all set to program those transmitters.

I have done three EVO-ALL installations today alone using the same exact RF kit and I had no issues pairing my transmitters.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Chad

I do plug it into the blue port, and the vehicle does shut down if i step on the brake pedal as well. Im going to check on the protocol as you said as thats probably the problem. Should it be checked only in remote start or on both rs and bypass mode? Thanks
You only need the fortin 2 rf kit function on the remote starter side only
I have the same issue; What was the issue and how did you resolved.

Appreciate.
