using evo all as an alarm only on a 2011 kia soul smart key using factory fob

I was wanting to know if the evo all couls be used as a stand alone alarm for a 2011 kia soul smart key and if so what wire would I use for a status led for the dash.

Answer 1

Yes turn on option G for alarm.

Turn on option C1 for OEM remote monitoring.

When you lock the car the white wire on the 20 pin connector it will go to ground. This can be used in conjunction with a blinking led.

 

All you would need to connect are the cans and igntion input (A1) and parking lights/Horn for alarm purposes.

Will the unit control the door locks over the canbus for just the alarm or will I have to wire in the lock/unlock wires

Well technically, the doorlocks are being controlled by your OEM remote that you are pressing lock and unlock on to arm and disarm the Evo-Alarm
