Question

One All was installed well on camey 2020 , but the long range remote tried to program it and it was not programmed. Is it necessary to connect the cable in the attached picture

Hello,

 

The antenna should be plugged into the blue connector on the t-harness.

There is no need to run power and ground.

Ensure you have enabled option H and H2 for the rf kit along with the in vehicle programming as shown in the guide.

Thank you. The remote has now been programmed, but unfortunately the range is very weak. It does not exceed 20 meters less than the original remote for the vehicle. What is the reason?

Antenna placemenet will greatly affect the range.

 

The antenna should be in the front windshield roughly 8-10" away from the rear view mirror. Also make sure it is not obstructed by other electronic deivces or the dot matrix on the egde of the windhsield.
