Evo all stand-alone 07 Equinox blue light turns off as soon as I plug in the white connector

module key bypass programming can not go past step 3

blue light will stay on until I plug in the white connector. I have verified there is no voltage on the ignition yellow (A1) wire when ignition is off.
Any help is appreciated thank you

If you cut the yellow wire and then connect the large white connector does the blue led stay on? Also what is the S/N to the module in quesiton?
