2014 Cherokee Doesn't Remote Start

0 votes

2014 Jeep Cherokee, Latitude, 3.6 AWD.

Programing was succesful. Dark blue wire (from 20-pin) grounded. Blue light flashes when lock button is clicked on fob (majority of the time).

Clicking lock 3 times does nothing. I haven't gotten it to do anything as of yet.

Did I accidentally puty it in valet mode (how would I know)? How should I proceed?

Thank you

Don't ground the blue wire, this is hood input.

Sorry, misunderstood your comment before.

Trying to make sure the unit is set up properly and  that it works. Enabled D1.10, goes red, then red yellow 2x (failed start I presume) then flashes red 3x (the paper I have says it can't read the tach...but it never started.

EDIT:

Figured out my mistake. My car has a "Run" position for the ignition that doesn't start the car. Re-ran the decryptor process starting the car up. Works like a charm.

For anyone reading this, take not on some cars, the car doesn't listen for the fob after start, which means the factory fob cannot unlock/lock (or turn off remotely) the remote started vehicle. That was not clear to me until today.
Hi, did you re-run the whole "DCRYPTOR PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE" whilst starting the car up, instead of just putting it in the "run" position where it says to do so? Thanks!
