toyota TPMS wire

just a general question about interupting the TPMS wire on toyotas. what is the purpose for it? and why does it affect OEM R.S. function?

If the wire is not interrupted, the factory remote can not be detected when the engine is running. In Canada a lot of toyota don't have TPMS, in those case the wire does not need to be cut.

thanks for the info, i just did a 2017 rav4 H key and before i checked for this wire i would get a charging system malfunction on the cluster when using 3x lock but would not get it while using the aftermarket remotes. I then did the interupt in the passenger kick and the warning went away

What is the service number of the module you are using ?

The cut does not have any link with the charging system error. If you continue to start the vehicle a couple of time the error will come back once in a while.

I need to find this wire on a 2017 Camry. Directions say blue wire in 18 pin white connector in passenger kick panel, but I don't see it there. Could it be in the grey harness? Do you have a picture? Thank you
