EVO-ALL d2d pinout

+1 vote

I'll be running d2d between my Viper remote starter and EVO-ALL.  I need to make sure the 4 wires match.

EVO-ALL:

Red (12V), Black (Ground), Blue (Data), White (Data)

Here's the pinout I pulled form a DBALL manual:

Which of the EVO-ALL's 2 data wires connect to the Green/Blue of the Viper d2d wire?

Viper d2d harness:

The datalink connector is pre-pinned and comes with the EVO-ALL. No need to worry about pinouts.

I think you misunderstood my question.  Yes, the d2d cable with the EVO-ALL is fine, but the Viper unit  (1) has a different plug size (2) has a different pinout.

So I'll have to cut both harnesses and connect their wires together.  12V and ground are obvious, but the 2 data wires are not..

Hmmm, we ship the EVO-ALL with a T shaped datalink connector that can used for the DEI D2D port or with regular datalink ports. I'll send a picture in 2 minutes

In any case, from back view of connector with the clips towards the top, from left to right.

  • Blue - Black - White - Red

Here is the datalink picture. That white one should fit right in.

Thanks very much for that, and I apologize for the confusion.  For some reason this EVO-ALL has a Flashlink type wire in the box (black connector on both ends, no T-split to DEI D2D).

I have 10 other EVO-ALL's here. I just opened them all up, and I see the T connector you are talking about.

Again, sorry for the confusion, and I must say your tech support speed and attention to detail is amazing.  I made the right choice going to Fortin gear.  You'll hear less of me as I figure this out. :)

We used to actually ship units with different connectors depending on what the distributor asked for. that was changed for the better so that every box has the T type connectors.

On the weekdays, getting an answer from the wirecolor questions and answers should not take too long. Weekends (saturday) we focus mainly on phone support but do have a tech and myself check wirecolor on our own time.

You'll hear less of me as I figure this out.

We need to hear from people for the good and bad.  Helps focus on what techs need.

Hello Robert

I need to know witch one is TX and RX in the D2D cable.

We manufacture fuel saver modules and I need to interface with EVO-ALL by serial because the wire connections that we use today will require different connections in different vehicles ( Ford Transit VS Ford F-150 for exemple)

We will change our product to interface via serial so we will have an universal connectior.

Hi Gerson,

From the  EVO-ALL point of view,

  • White - Receive (Rx)
  • Blue - Transmit (Tx)
